The Massachusetts Cannabis industry made headlines in 2018 as the first few recreational dispensaries opened in addition to the RMD’s that have been operating for several years. Behind the headlines, there are investors, suppliers, consultants not to mention the roll up the sleeves operators that are working hard to take this industry from 0 to 60. Although cannabis is a unique industry for many reasons, the fundamentals of operating a business successfully still apply. In order to provide benchmarking data for the key performance indicators (KPI’s) of cannabis operations, Prince Lobel developed the Quarterly State of the Cannabis Industry Survey and kicked off the survey officially in Q3 2018.
